John Cena Update
"My neck is still healing up and I'd say I've got about one and half to two months to go and I'll be back. I feel great but I'm just pretty much waiting for the OK from the doctors. The spinal cord is a very touchy thing to start messing with and that was a wake-up call that's for sure."
He added, "I think the normal protocol after surgery like that is to take time off, regroup, but I just don't do that. I got up, I said to the doctor, 'I'm going to Smackdown', and he said, 'That's okay but I'd really like to go with you if that's okay'. And he gave me the same list of dos and don'ts that any outpatients would get."
So is he actually coming back at Cyber Sunday??? or is he trying to set us off into thinking that he's not going to be back for a while and then BAM! he comes back???

Tarde tranquila, casi
con placidez de alma,
para ser joven, para haberlo sido
cuando Dios quiso, para
tener algunas alegrías...lejos,
y poder dulcemente recordarlas.
Es una tarde cenicienta y mustia,
destartalada, como el alma mía;
y es esta vieja angustia
que habita mi usual hipocondría.
La causa de esta angustia no consigo
ni vagamente comprender siquiera;
pero recuerdo y recordando digo:
-Sí, yo era niño, y tú, mi compañera.

Again and Again
B Y K A T H L E E N J A C O B Y
I HAVE A GAME on my computer that is a form of solitaire called Free Cell. You can play the same game over and over again if you don't get it right... choosing to have the hand re-dealt until you figure it out. I sometimes play the game as a form of relaxation, but in doing so, am aware of how each incorrect step that defeats me leads to greater awareness the next time around. I make different mistakes each round until finally I see the pattern that wasn't clear previously. Then I am able to "win" the game. And that always reminds me of what we do in life.
How many of us can point to repetitious patterns that emerge over and over again, giving us the opportunity to take what we've learned and apply it when a similar situation arises? To me, it shows the incredible patience of life outworking. The seed is planted at birth, and we begin to grow into the role we have been given. We take twists and turns, congratulating ourselves for our successes and bemoaning our failures. But, in actuality, we are playing the hand we've been dealt given our perception in the moment. And when we don't see the snares ahead, and make moves that later are regretful, we will have something similar come into our lives at another point to give us the opportunity to deal with it differently.
It has been said that those who have the greatest success have also experienced the most failure. We tend not to look at failure as a stepping stone to achievement. Yet, when we were small and started to walk, if we gave up after the first few falls, we'd all be sitting on the floor, crawling at best. That's not how we're designed. The brain takes in the stimulus, processes it, and if we are willing... flags the "failure" next time, giving us an opportunity to choose differently. And after the trial and error process (no matter how long), we can experience the fullness of victory hard won. To make a "right" choice in the beginning doesn't lend itself to the same level of depth of character that we achieve through the longer process. When you see someone who has achieved something without much effort, there is often a shallow perspective and sense of entitlement or of good fortune. When someone has found their place through repeated effort, it shows. There is humility and understanding about the process of life.
So, as we get the opportunity to play the game again and again, new insights or awareness emerge if we are open to being consciously aware. Rather than seeing ourselves as wrong, we see how our perception is growing and bringing us into alignment with the greater possibility of our lives. Again and again we repeat the process... until we get it "right".
Food for Thought
Reflect on success and failure in your own life.
Can you point to times when you had an easy victory? If so, how long did the feeling of success last, and did it make a lasting impression?
Point to a failure. What did you learn from this, and how did it affect your life?
Look at events where you may have felt you were not succeeding, or you failed initially. How did it feel when you finally achieved a breakthrough or success? What was the lasting effect in your life?
Do you see a difference between fast success versus something that comes only through time?
How can you apply this to the present so that you turn disappointments into victories?
Be steadfast in your efforts, regardless of outcome. Fine tuning is often required to bring about the desired result, and it is to those who persevere that the prize is awarded!

More Evidence That This World Is Full Of Complete Idiots
1. Police in Wichita, Kansas, arrested a 22-year-old
man at an airport hotel after he tried to pass two
(counterfeit) $16 bills.
2. A man in Johannesburg, South Africa, shot his
49-year-old friend in the face, seriously wounding him,
while the two practiced shooting beer cans off each other's
head.
3. A company trying to continue its five-year perfect
safety record showed its workers a film aimed at encouraging the
use of safety goggles on the job. According to Industrial
Machinery News, the film's depiction of gory industrial accidents
was so graphic that twenty-five workers suffered minor injuries
in their rush to leave the screening room. Thirteen others
fainted, and one man required seven stitches after he cut his
head falling off a chair while watching the film.
4. The Chico, California, City Council enacted a ban on
nuclear weapons, setting a $500 fine for anyone detonating
one within city limits.
5. A bus carrying five passengers was hit by a car in
St. Louis, but by the time police arrived on the scene,
fourteen pedestrians had boarded the bus and had begun to
complain of whiplash injuries and back pain.
6. Swedish business consultant Ulf af Trolle labored 13
years on a book about Swedish economic solutions. He took
the 250-page manuscript to be copied, only to have it
reduced to 50,000 strips of paper in seconds when a worker
confused the copier with the shredder.
7. A convict broke out of jail in Washington DC, then a
few days later accompanied his girlfriend to her trial for
robbery. At lunch, he went out for a sandwich. She needed to
see him, and thus had him paged. Police officers recognized his
name and arrested him as he returned to the courthouse in a car
he had stolen over the lunch hour.
8. Police in Radnor, Pennsylvania, interrogated a
suspect by placing a metal colander on his head and
connecting it with wires to a photocopy machine.
The message "He's lying" was placed in the copier, and
police pressed the copy button each time they thought the
suspect wasn't telling the truth. Believing the "lie
detector" was working, the suspect confessed.
9. When two service station attendants in Ionia,
Michigan, refused to hand over the cash to an intoxicated
robber, the man threatened to call the police. They still
refused, so the robber called the police and was arrested.
10. A Los Angeles man who later said he was "tired of
walking," stole a steamroller and led police on a 5 mph
chase until an officer stepped aboard and brought the
vehicle to a stop.
Radiohead reveal how successful 'In Rainbows' download really was
Facts for pay-what-you-want release finally made public
The statistics behind the pay-what-you-like release of Radiohead's 'In Rainbows' album, released on October 10 last year online, have been revealed today (October 15).
According to reports most fans chose to pay nothing to download the
album. However, it still generated more money before it was physically
released (on December 31) than the total money generated by sales of
the band's previous album, 2003's 'Hail To The Thief'.
According to Music Ally, Jane Dyball, head of business affairs at Warner Chappell (the publishing company that oversaw the release of 'In Rainbows'), refused to reveal the average price people were downloading the album for.
However, Dyball, set to speak about the release at the Iceland Airwaves conference later, explained that Warner Chappell and Radiohead's
management were monitoring the average price daily, and was prepared to
cancel the download facility if the average price became too low.
The download facility was taken down after three months, and the album
went to Number One in the UK and USA after being physically released.
Statistics revealed that most fans downloaded the album through file-sharing service BitTorrent, but that this had been anticipated before the release.
The band sold 100,000 copies of the 'In Rainbows' box set, which contained extra songs not available on the standard download or CD release.
Warner Chappell concluded that the new release style was a financial success, but did not reveal whether Radiohead plan to release an album in a similar way in the future.

Sleep at night
Though the Disciples read, and meditated, and prayed, and sung apart, and there by kept up communion with GOD, yet they came together to worship GOD , and so they kept up their communion with one another. They came together on the 1st day of the week, the LORD's day. It is to be religously observed by all disciples of CHRIST. In the breaking of bread, not only the breaking of CHRIST's body for us, to be a sacrifice for our sins, is remembered, but the breaking of CHRIST's body to us, to be food and a feast for our souls, is signified. In the early times it was the custom to recieve the LORD's supper every LORD's day, thus celebrating the memorial of CHRIST DEATH. In this assembly Paul preached. The preaching of the gospel ought to go with the sacriments. They were willing to hear, he saw they were so, and continued his speach till midnight.
Sleeping when hearing the WORD is an evil thing. A sign of low esteem of the WORD of GOD. We must do what we can to prevent being sleeply; not put ourselves to sleep, but get our hearts affected with the word we hear, so as to divine sleep far away. Infirmity requires tenderness; but contempt requires serverity. It interupted the Apostles preaching, but was made to confirm his preaching. Eutychus was brought to life again. And as they knew not when they should have Paul's company again, they made the best use of it they could, and reckoned a nights' sleep well lost for that purpose. How seldom are hours of repose broken for the purposes of devotion! But how often for amusement or sinful revelery! So hard is it for Spiritual life to thrive in the heart of man! So naturally do carnal practices florish there (ACTS 20:7) !

Receivers' orders: Shut down Palmer
According to Bengals coach Marvin Lewis, Carson Palmer's status hasn't changed. He's still going to rest his swollen right elbow and the Bengals will watch to see how he progresses.
The esteemed Doctors Ocho Cinco and Houshmandzadeh, apparently, seem to differ.
"I think the issues with Nine is a lot more serious than playing this year," said Dr. Chad Ocho Cinco, whose academic record would best be described as Blutarsky-like. "We’re talking about his career in general. If it means sitting out this year to play another 20 or who knows how long he’ll be able to go, I think it’d be in his best interest to sit out."
When asked if that meant he thought Palmer should sit out the rest of the season, his teammate said yes.
"If I was whoever makes the call on Nine, I’d tell them to do whatever you need to do," Dr. Ocho Cinco said. "I don’t think surgery would be the best thing. The thing on the surgery, whatever the injury is, it’s 50-50, sometimes it’s successful, sometimes it’s not. I think Nine should sit down and rest, we have next year. I mean, for Nine, we have next year. For us, we have to finish. You know?"
