Tony Yayo is begging his mother to move out of her neighborhood after unknown assailants riddled her home with bullets. Yayo insists the home was just a random target and his mother doesn't have a price on her head - but he's desperate to find her a safer place to live. The only problem is his proud Haitian mom wants to stay where she is in Queens, New York. Yayo says, "She don't want to move. I begged her plenty of times... (But) my mom's values are different. She feels like she prays and she's got God on her side. "I'm trying to explain to her, `Mom, I'd rather somebody come and shoot at me than shoot at the house for no reason.'" According to reports Yayo's mother lives just a block away from where 50 Cent was shot nine times in an attack on his life, before he was famous.

Houston rappers, Trae the Truth and Mike Jones, were involved in an altercation on Monday night (August 11) in Houston, during the 2008 Ozone Awards.The altercation occurred backstage, where both men were seen talking, escalating into a scuffle, resulting Mike Jones getting punched in the face.
While Trae explained specific reasons for his beef with the rapper, Mike claims that he wasn't aware, prior to the run-in, that there was even a rift between the two. During a call into G-Man's show on Houston radio station 97.9 The Box Tuesday morning (August 12), Mike explained his version of the altercation, claiming he was sucker-punched.
"I went to Ozone Awards with family. I went with my whole family -- My mama came with me. I wasn't coming on no stuff like that. [Trae] walked over there and shook my hand man. 'What's up bro?' The body of a dead woman was reportedly found at a New York nightclub, Spotlight where Lil Kim recently held her birthday party. According to The NY Times, Lil Kim held her birthday party at the Spotlight Live Club on Sunday(August 3) and the body of 24-year-old Ingrid Rivera was found yesterday (August 6) in a utility closet on the club’s roof. Authorities say Rivera attended the rapper’s party and was reported missing on Tuesday (August 5). A woman claiming to be Rivera’s friend told police that Rivera was involved in an altercation with club employees on the night of the party. Reports are suggesting that Rivera was beaten with a blunt object — possibly a Champagne bottle — and left for dead. The club has not revealed a comment on the murder and sources say Lil Kim did not know Rivera and was unaware of the incident.
R+B singer JOE has accused R. KELLY of pressuring radio DJs not to play his records - in a bid to scupper his growing stardom. The Stutter singer released six albums with Jive Records over an 11 year period, but left the label earlier this year (08) after the company pushed back the release of his 2007 LP, Ain’t Nothin Like Me, several times. And the Grammy-winning star believes his rival labelmate Kelly was to blame, insisting he would call Jive bosses and radio stations and urge them not to promote the singer too strongly. Joe says, “R. Kelly was very instrumental in making a lot of decisions when it came to my records being played on the radio. “He would make a call to the radio station or to the label and say, ‘Hey, this Joe record is too hot right now. Y’all (sic) need to pull that back.’ And they would oblige. It’s incredible that now I get the opportunity to, I don’t know, maybe pay (R. Kelly) back in some sort of side bar kind of thing.” And Joe, who left Jive to release his forthcoming LP New Man through Kedar Entertainment Group, insists he is still a prevalent musician despite R. Kelly’s alleged intervention. He says, “I’m still very relevant in the game. But yeah, he did try to make some decisions when it came down to my records being on fire, and climbing up the charts and on the radio stations. He felt like they should pull back because he felt he was more important. And with their loyalty to him, they obliged.”
Soul singer and arranger Isaac Hayes, who won Grammy awards and an Oscar for the theme from the 1971 action film “Shaft,” has died, sheriff’s officials in Memphis, Tennessee, said Sunday. Relatives found Hayes unconscious in his home next to a still-running treadmill. Paramedics attempted to revive him and took him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Comedian Bernie died at Northwestern Memorial hospital early Saturday morning, according to Sun-Times Columnist, Stella Foster. He was 50.Though the cause of death has not been confirmed, Mac had been hospitalized recently for pneumonia. Foster said that she received calls early Saturday morning from a close friend of the Mac family, confirming the reports of Mac’s death.
Atlanta waiter Matt Moore claims that he went out of his way to hook Andre up with some vegan dishes after the rapper visited the restaurant he works in — even though it is non-vegan. Grammy award winning singer Amy Winehouse was released earlier today from a London hospital hours after being checked-in for an allergic drug reaction. According to People, the R&B superstar was immediately rushed to doctors last night (July 28) after suffering a possible seizure. Wrapped in a blanket and rolled to her vehicle with the help of a wheelchair, the 24 year-old had been taking steps to rehabilitation. “She was taking a new [medication] as part of her anti-drug treatment program,” Chris Goodman, Winehouse’s rep, told People. “And it was an adverse reaction to that new drug. You have to try different things but unfortunately this was not the right one.”

Trina and her boyfriend Denver Nuggets basketball player Kenyon Martin were involved in a car accident this past weekend. They were traveling from their home in Miami to Belize on Friday when according to reports their vehicle was side-swiped by another vehicle and run off the road According to Trinafan.com, the accident may have been caused, in part, by the police motorcade escorting the vehicles. The motorcade took up a wide portion of the narrow two lane highway, forcing oncoming traffic to go around them. Rapper Gucci Mane was arrested in Atlanta Wednesday and charged with DUI and marijuana possession, reports TMZ.com. During a traffic stop, police searched his vehicle and found "a small amount of marijuana and a gun." The artist, born Radric Davis, was released after posting $3,300 bond. Gucci Mane's rap sheet includes jail time for beating a promoter with a pool cue, and homicide charges that were later dropped.

Kelly Rowland has filmed a pilot for a new a travel and lifestyle series called Around The World. Kelly will host and executive produce the show which will spotlight the best in dining, hotel accommodations and party destinations throughout the world.
