Mos Def and his estranged wife Alana Wyatt during happier times. Now the former stripper is writing a tell-all which implicates him as a wife beater.  She said she filed for divorce in October following what she claimed was a loud argument that got out of control. “I don’t believe that his intent was to hurt me, I believe that he was trying to prove a point,” she said. “But I had shared and cried with him many nights about my past (abusive) situation and I asked of him not to do that [abuse her]. Wyatt-Smith said she didn’t press charges because she didn’t “want to cause problems” in the hopes that his outburst was “a first and last.” She said there were several attempts at reconciliation, but that Mos Def, who has six children with four different women, has a demanding though not abusive demeanor that she found difficult to abide. They have not been together since October 2006, but despite a $115,000 financial settlement are not officially divorced. “He won’t sign the papers,” she said. “He told my lawyer if he can’t have me, nobody else will.”

ise suing a Norway record company for releasing a 5-CD cover album of the Purple One’s songs. Shockadelica, an 81-track album featuring all Norwegian artists, already released its run of 5,000 copies when the label, sent a copy to Prince as a goodwill gesture. Instead, Prince’s legal team swiftly requested that Shockadelica be pulled and all copies destroyed. All artists involved with the album weren’t paid for their contribution, and Shockadelica is, for the moment, still available online

The brand of men's apparel, featuring graphic T-shirts, fleece hoodies and fashion denims, will be available at about 350 Wal-Mart stores beginning next month. "Wal-Mart stands for everything P. Miller does," said Master P. "It's America and diversity. Our whole thing is price point. I want to put out affordable clothes where the masses can buy them."

There’s a new reality shown in England called “Britain’s Missing Top Model” featuring young women with disabilities competing in a beauty contest. It will air on BBC Three and includes women in the 18-30 range, one of whom is partially paralyzed, one deaf and several limbless. The winner gets a spread in British Marie Claire and will be represented by a modeling agency. Producers say they want to increase awareness and acceptance of people with disabilities: ‘Britain’s Missing Top Model’ only features models with disabilities from around the world - including one from the U.S.. Among the eight lovely ladies who will duke it out onscreen are women without limbs, some who are partially paralyzed and one who is deaf. The series, which debuts on BBC in July, reportedly aims to challenge the standard of beauty in the fashion industry.“I went into this program thinking it was an adventure, rather than a path to a new career,” contestant Jessica Kellgren-Hayes, who often uses a wheelchair to get around, told Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper. “Although I don’t want any of my dreams to be unattainable, I’m not sure if Britain is ready for a model with a disability.”U.K. Marie Claire editor Marie O’Riordan, who serves as a judge for “Missing Top Model,” says she has high hopes for the show: “I do believe the program could help challenge our attitudes to disability. I want to see the winner shake up the fashion industry. These young women shouldn’t be invisible to the fashion world just because they are disabled.” How do yall feel about this would you watch this show hit me with a comment.
